Entanglements
Studies in weave, tension and connection.
This project begins with a simple, repetitive gesture: intertwining, tightening, crossing, leaving loose ends. Unlike other works, here I do not begin so much from a previous idea, but from a more experimental and mechanical practice, almost as if the hand were thinking before language.
The pieces are built through minimal relationships between threads: passing over, passing under, holding, releasing, starting again. Each crossing generates a small structure, but also an interruption.
I am interested in this provisional way of building: a weave that never fully closes, a fragile structure that appears through repetition, tension and the connection between its parts.
